Mission Statement
The Mission of Holy Cross Anglican
Church is to glorify Almighty God by providing a spiritual home in the
Knoxville area where people will experience Christ through traditional
Anglican worship; by complying with the Great Commission; and by holding
to “the faith once delivered unto the saints”.
We are determined with God’s grace to hold and maintain
the Doctrines, Sacraments, and Disciplines of Christ as the Lord has commanded
in His Holy Word; as the traditional Anglican movement has received and
set forth the same in the Book of Common Prayer, in the Thirty-nine Articles
of Religion; and in the spirit of the Affirmation of St. Louis. We intend
to transmit the same unimpaired to our posterity,
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.. Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Vision
Our
vision for Holy Cross Anglican Church is to be an Anglican presence
in the Knoxville, Tennessee area of such spiritual power in Word and Sacrament,
that people are drawn to a personal relationship with God in Jesus Christ,
and become members of the Body of Christ, His Church.
